Makiko is our take on the chunky leather ankle boot – bold enough to give an outfit a little edge, but without the heavy feel you might expect from the sole.

Made with a beautifully soft leather upper, the front zip makes it easy to slip on and off, while a cushioned leather insock and soft textile lining keep things comfortable inside. The chunky TPR sole gives Makiko that contemporary, slightly tougher look, but has been specially chosen to keep the boot feeling light on the foot.

Toffee and Blue Sapphire are made in a softly grained leather, adding natural texture and character, while Shimmering Lynx brings together animal print and flashes of metallic for something altogether more playful. Wear Makiko with jeans, wide trousers or a winter dress. This is an ankle boot made to be noticed, but easy enough to wear every day.

Styling Tips

We wouldn't tone Blue Sapphire down, we'd lean into the colour. We've styled it here with black tights, a brilliantly patterned mini and a strong blue top, letting the boots become part of the colour story rather than simply an accent. It's a good reminder that a bright boot doesn't have to be difficult to wear. Pick up the colour somewhere else in your outfit and have a little fun with it.
